Mission Museum

After 75 years of missionaries returning from the global East, West and South (and a couple from the north) with suitcases, steamer-trunks and arms brimming with the relics of their past mission experiences, we are finally on the verge of implementing that impossible dream of having a “mission museum”. It may not have a “mission bear” like Techny, but it will include carvings, pictures, paintings, model boats, churches and villages, primitive weaponry, farming utensils, musical instruments, headdresses, ceremonial costumes and you name it. From time immemorial, it
has all been sitting there covered in an inch of dust at the back corner of our Provincial Council meeting room. But in a very short time, they will finally be cleaned, sorted by their provenance and displayed in our new lighted glass display cases.
