Three of the theologians/deacons were ordained by the laying of the hands by Bishop Curtis J. Guillory, SVD on May 25th Saturday at the Holy Spirit Chapel, Techny in the presence of a large number of family members, friends, invited guests and confreres. They are Charles A. Moat, Jr., assigned to USW province, Bau Van Nguyen assigned to Nicaragua and Victorin Oussoi assigned to Germany province. The deacons were led to the altar by their families and Thanh Van Nguyen Rector of Divine Word Theologate presented them to the Bishop for ordination.
Bishop Guillory spoke about the internationality of the Society during his homily. We are all ambassadors of Christ. We don’t do anything on our own, rather on behalf of Christ the one who has sent us. He wished the newly ordained fruitful, satisfactory and fulfilling ministry.
